Yanzhi “Aaron” Dou, (in Chinese 窦彦智)
WelcomeI am a research scientist/engineer at Facebook with work across multiple areas, including product security, real-time data infrastructure, and the Facebook Connectivity Lab (internet.org). My research focuses on securing products and infrastructure by developing novel and effective prevention and detection systems. For prevention, I have been working on hardening the key components of the massive FB codebase by identifying exploitable bugs via program analysis. For detection, I worked on building anomaly detection systems for alerting about unusual data movement and performing root cause analysis on detected anomalies. Before joining Facebook, I received my PhD degree in electrical and computer engineering from Virginia Tech in 2017. My dissertation was about building privacy-preserving dynamic spectrum access systems. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University in 2013. Research InterestsFuzz testing, anomaly detection, wireless network security, privacy-enhancing technologies, machine learning, applied cryptography. Selected publications [Full List]
